Prayer Guide
- Sundays – Ask God to call our churches to the ministry of Jesus In Luke 4:18-21, Jesus quoted Isaiah 61:1-2 and He said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (KJV) As others receive our Christ-like acts of kindness and love, may they not see us, but see Him at work in our efforts.
- Mondays – Pray for UnityPray for unity of heart, mind and purpose for all churches and individuals who participate in ShareFest (Philippians 2:1-4). May ShareFest not be just about individual good deeds, but about the distinctive oneness and love among the Body of Christ. Pray that each part of the Body will complement and honor the work of the whole Body for His Glory (1 Corinthians 12:12 -31).
- Tuesdays – Pray for LeadersPray for our pastors and church leadership teams. Ask for them protection, wisdom, strength, guidance and servant attitudes (I Timothy 2:1-2).
- Wednesdays – Pray for One AnotherPray that we will give preference to one another (Romans 12:10), accept one another (Romans 15:7), care for one another (1 Corinthians 12:25), carry each other’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), forgive one another (Ephesians 4:32), encourage and build up one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11), spur one another on to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24), confess sins to one another (James 5:16), pray for one another (James 5:16), serve one another (1 Peter 4:10), and love one another (1 John 4:11). Pray that this kind of love would draw many to Christ.
- Thursdays – Pray for Families, Schools, and NeighborhoodsPray for all participating churches that scores of new disciples will take up their light and illuminate the lives of children and adults throughout our cities (Matthew 5:13-16). Pray for God’s favor on all the children and schools in our community. Ask God to mobilize His people in large numbers to mentor, provide spiritual direction, and work to ensure a good education for all children in the community. Pray for God’s protection and blessing for your neighborhood and the neighborhoods we will serve (Malachi 4:6, Mark 12:29 -31).
- Fridays – Pray for the ShareFest Worship CelebrationPray that congregants from many churches will come together on Sunday evening, April 22nd and display a visible unity of the church in Tulsa. May Christ be honored, as our hearts are united in praise and worship, and may the Body of Christ in our city be refreshed and renewed.
- Saturdays – Pray for the Service ProjectsPray that every service project will be a “beginning of relationship” and not an end in itself. Pray for individual Christians to connect with individual people. Pray for school leaders, the children, and their families, for each neighborhood resident we are able to touch with Christ’s love, and for new believers and opportunities to share the gospel (2 Timothy 6:18).
